Becker (Sliding Partitions) Ltd

Becker market a full range of acoustic, sliding/folding partitions, from vinyl accordions to steel framed movable walls with top and bottom operable seals. Systems can be top hung or floor supported and are available in a wide range of finishes and acoustic levels.

Monoplan (Pic 1)

The Monoplan is a moveable wall system that allows quick and easy creation of flexible floor plans. The system does not require a floor track, but once positioned the panels form a rigid structure with all the properties and appearance of a permanent wall. Monoplan comprises interlocking panels up to 1240mm wide, which are moved individually. Acoustic integrity is maintained along the top and bottom of the wall via pressure seals, which are extended and retracted by the turn of a removable operating handle. Final closure of the wall is achieved by extending a telescopic sleeve on the last panel. The system is available in a wide range of finishes and achieves acoustic levels of between R’w 37 dB and R’w 54 dB.

Glass Walls (Pic 2)

The Becker glass wall system combines elegance with strength and security making it ideal for the retail industry, office environments and numerous other applications. Panels can be hinged together or they can be moved individually allowing them to be parked wherever wanted. The system is top hung without the need for a floor track. The glass panels require top and bottom profiles only, thereby maximising the glass area. Top rollers, security bolts and hinges are contained within these aluminium profiles which are satin anodised in standard format. They can also be powder coated in RAL colours or sleeved in stainless steel.

SM Folding Walls (Pic 3)

This competitively priced system of walls combines the ease and speed of a Sliding Partition with the permanent appearance of a Moveable Wall System. By the very nature of its design the system incorporates a pass door (s) which can be positioned anywhere in the wall. All walls are made to measure and are therefore in complete harmony with any given opening.

Panel widths are generally between 600mm and 900mm. An extensive range of finishes is available, e.g. various veneers, laminates, spray paint to any RAL or BS colour. Acoustic levels range between R’w 38dB and R’w 49dB.

Accordion Partitions

Becker market a wide range of Accordion Partitions including:

Versiplan: is a sliding folding partition which when closed presents a flat panelled elevation entirely free of visible hinges.

Harmonika in wood: is a flexible dividing system which when closed presents an angular elevation entirely free of visible hinges.

Uno and Duplo: are an economical answer to the division of large and small areas. Both systems are top hung only, without the need for floor rails or guides. (Pic 4)

Harmonika in vinyl: is the most economical way to sub-divide any area. This system can be top hung or floor supported and is finished in heavy-duty vinyl which is available in a variety of colours and three levels of sound reduction.

Sunflex

A range of fully glazed external sliding folding partitions, which are fully weather rated and available in timber or aluminium. The system exceeds the latest building regulations for thermal efficiency. The aluminium system is available to any RAL colour. The timber system is available in clear lacquer, stained or coloured finish.
