<< OWA UK - Building Materials and Architectural Building Products >>

OWA (UK)

As the first European manufacturer of mineral wool ceiling products, OWA have been providing clients with ceiling solutions for nearly half a century.

This has only been possible by maintaining a continuous policy of investment in modern methods of manufacturing and research and development ensuring that OWA stays at the forefront of the ceilings industry.

OWAcoustic® ceiling tiles are manufactured from Bio-soluble mineral wool complying with the European Regulation 97/69/EC and are classified zero health risk. We also recycle virtually all of our waste and generated heat from the production of mineral wool, which itself uses recycled materials as one of the key components. OWA operates a fully integrated production facility working to DIN ISO EN 9001 Quality assurance standards.

OWAcoustic® range of mineral wool ceilings

The OWAcoustic® product range provides probably the most versatile and varied selection of mineral wool ceiling tiles, panels and planks available anywhere. OWAcoustic® Ceilings offer an extensive selection of face mpatterns, along with a choice of edge details and a module size. From 300 x 300mm tiles, to planks 2500 x 400mm to panels 1250 x 1250mm. However, many of today¹s projects demand much more than just good looks. Performance is a key requirement expected in many suspended ceilings and the OWAcoustic® range can offer products that will satisfy most situations.

The most commonly required performance criteria are:

FIRE: We have an extensive and impressive portfolio of fire tests with some ceilings providing in excess of 90 minutes protection as well as products that can offer protection from above as well as below.

ACOUSTICS: NRC¹s ranging from 0.15 - 0.80 and room to room airborne sound reduction up to 49dB RLW.

OWAcoustic® Janus is a special development for enhanced acoustic control Janus is therefore a practical solution where there are particular requirements for sound reduction.

OWA-Sanitas® and OWAlux® panel surfaces are manufactured for building projects with high hygienic requirements; for example, in hospitals and clinics, large kitchens, laboratories, bottling plants, butchery departments and food preparation areas.

OWAtecta® range of metal ceilings

The OWAtecta® range of metal ceilings offer a comprehensive range of perforated and plain metal tiles and planks in both standard and bespoke sizes. Available for both concealed and a variety of exposed grid suspension systems, OWAtecta® offers the virtue of access with the clean, crisp appearance that a metal ceiling provides.

The OWAtecta® range also offers Perfora a unique product that can virtually satisfy the aesthetic requirements of a plain unperforated metal tile but still offer an NRC of up to 0.50. This is achieved with 40,000 holes per m2 of <0.5mm diameter, making the holes virtually invisible but just the correct size acoustically.

OWAcoustic® Clean

OWAcoustic® Clean has been specially developed for clean environments. Clean rooms demand a high degree of air purity with ultra low emissions of airborne particles. OWAcoustic® Clean mineral wool panels with white coated aluminium foil facings comply with five out of six classes, Class 10 to 100,000, confirming OWAcoustic® Clean as suitable for many types of clean rooms. Applications can include environments such as those necessary for the manufacture of semi-condictors, compact discs, medical/pharmaceutical dose filling and handling of dangerous substances.

OWAconstruct®

The OWAconstruct® range offers an extensive selection of exposed and concealed grid suspension systems complementing the other OWA Ceiling product groups and providing the specifier and specialist contractor with complete ceiling solutions. The design of the OWAconstruct® range of light fittings ensures effective integration with the relevant OWA Ceiling whether you are looking for down-lighters or modular recessed lights providing direct and/or indirect light.
