<< KINGSPAN INSULATIONS - Building Materials and Architectural Building Products >>

Kingspan Insulation Ltd

Kingspan Insulation offers a comprehensive range of premium and high performance insulation products and breathable membranes for the construction industry.

Following an extensive investment programme, Kingspan Insulation is continuing to lead the insulation industry by manufacturing its insulation products with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and quoting thermal performance data in accordance with the new harmonised European Standard.

Premium Performance Insulation

The Kingspan Kooltherm® K-range offers an incomparable performance in insulation. Using the latest technology, the rigid phenolic core offers a thermal conductivity as low as 0.021 W/m.K. The Kingspan Kooltherm® K-range also achieves Class O fire rating to the building regulations and obtains the best possible rating of <5% smoke obscuration when tested to BS 5111: Part 1: 1974.

Premium Performance Floor Insulation

Kingspan Kooltherm® K3 Floorboard offers the perfect solution for insulating solid and suspended ground floor constructions. Where insulation is needed for either under the screed or the concrete slab then

Kingspan Kooltherm® K3 Floorboard can easily achieve the new Building Regulations without impeding the height of the floor construction.

Kingspan Kooltherm® K10 Soffit Board is perfect for use under a concrete soffit such as the ceiling of a car park. The boards can be fixed directly to the slab making the product is easy to use, negating the need for any suspended frame work.

Premium Performance Cavity Wall Insulation

Kingspan Kooltherm® K8 Cavity Wall Board is ideal for partial fill cavity walls constructions. The product is BBA approved, even with a residual cavity of 25 mm and easily achieves the new Building Regulations.

Premium Performance Timber Frame Wall Insulation

Kingspan Kooltherm® K12 Framing Board can be used either as a warm frame sheathing board to a timber frame, or between the timber studs and can easily achieve the new stringent thermal requirements demanded by specifiers. The product is easily cut on site and can be friction fitted between the studwork.

Premium Performance Internal/External Cladding Insulation

Kingspan Kooltherm® K15 Rainscreen Board is the ideal product for use behind external rainscreen systems where the product is used externally to a metal frame or solid substrate. Kingspan Kooltherm® K5 EWB for use behind external render systems achieves new Building Regulations without causing significant disruption to the aesthetics of the building.

Kingspan Kooltherm® K17 Insulated Dry-lining Board where existing constructions need to be brought up to standard without taking up too much room space is the ideal solution. Kingspan Kooltherm® K17 Insulated Dry-lining Board can be fixed with an adhesive system onto block work or mechanically fixed to a timber or metal frame.

Premium Performance Pitch Roof Insulation

Kingspan Kooltherm® K7 Pitched Roof Board and Kingspan Kooltherm® K18 Insulated Dry-lining Board offer the thinnest option in pitch roof insulation to help exceed new Building Regulations. The Kingspan Kooltherm® K7 Pitch Roof Board for use between the timber rafters and the Kooltherm® K18 Insulated Dry-lining board use under the rafters combines a premium performance phenolic insulation bonded to 12.5 mm plasterboard meaning only one product is needed for a finished construction.

Flat Roof Insulation

Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 LPC/FM and Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 LPC/FM high performance rigid urethane insulation boards for use beneath mechanically fixed and adhered single ply membrane respectively. Both products carry LPCB approval to LPS 1181 and an FM approved system can be achieved.

Tapered Insulation

The Kingspan Insulation tapered range of flat roofing products combines the insulation and the falls of the roof with one solution. With a range of tapered boards to suit most waterproofing systems, and with the same high performance thermal properties, lambda values 0.022-0.028 W/mK.

Extruded Polystyrene Insulation

The Kingspan Styrozone extruded polystyrene (XPS) range is predominantly used for inverted flat roofs where the waterproofing membrane is to be protected. Due to the high density and compressive strength the product is also ideal for heavy duty flooring. The Styrozone range is also CFC/HCFC-free with a zero Ozone Depletion Potential.

Breathable Membranes

Kingspan Insulation produce a breathable membrane to compliment their pitch roof insulation boards when used in an unventilated pitch roof construction. Kingspan nilvent.17 is the next generation breathable membrane technology and can achieve an airtight construction, which can help prevent interstitial condensation. It is easy to handle and install and ideal for new build constructions.

Technical Support

In addition to the field and office based sales teams, Kingspan Insulation offers one of the most technically advanced support services in the industry. TECHLINE is available on 0870 850 8333 in the UK and 042 979 5000 in Ireland offering a valuable range of technical advice including U-value and condensation risk analysis calculations.
