<< KINGSPAN ACCESS FLOORS - Building Materials and Architectural Building Products >>

Kingspan Access Floors

Kingspan are market-leading designers, producers and installers of raised access floor solutions providing the flexibility vital in today’s fast-changing workspace.

Kingspan systems can be specified with confidence wherever a floor void -the most efficient way of distributing cabled services or underfloor air is required. They create a rock-solid platform that allows access to underfloor services simply by lifting panel modules. Thus services locations can be readily changed to suit new office layout.

Typical applications include commercial offices, dealing rooms and call centres, computer and switch rooms. Educational buildings, increasingly "wired", are another growth area. Public areas including lobbies, exhibition and retail space are catered for with a range of prestige natural finishes.

Kingspan’s systems include steel-encapsulated woodcore and composite products. The result is a comprehensive portfolio that meets the most demanding performance and aesthetic criteria whether for new-build or refurbishment projects.

Functionality and Finishes

The systems are designed to maximise void space without compromising strength. All steel pedestals supporting positively located or screw-down panels deliver total stability and noise-free performance. Finished floor heights of 60 mm to 1200mm are achievable as standard, with bespoke options available. Dimensional accuracy ensures that all panel grades are interchangeable, further extending adaptability.

Standard and bespoke accessories include lifting devices, ramps, steps and bridging, grilles and outlet boxes, upstands and stringers.

Systems are supplied as bare panel or with factory laminated finishes; the virtually infinite range of finishes includes carpet tile, stone, terrazzo, ceramic, wood, rubber, vinyl and high pressure laminates.

Specification and Technical Support

Kingspan’s comprehensive Best Practice Guide offers designers unrivalled expertise in raised access floor specification, based on 40 years in the business. The company’s technical support includes CAD drawings and a RIBA approved CPD package.

Contracting Services

Kingspan systems are available through appointed suppliers or as a turnkey service from initial design to installation and aftercare by Kingspan’s in-house contracts operation.

Environment and Sustainability

Kingspan Access Floors is the only raised floor producer (and installer) accredited to ISO 14001 Environmental Management. For many years electricity and particleboard used in manufacture has been sourced exclusively from suppliers using only renewable resources: steel suppliers also endeavour to use 20 per cent recycled steel. High quality design, materials and manufacture result in high-durability, long life-cycle systems that support sustainability agendas.

Standards

Kingspan systems meet the requirements of BS EN 12825 and the "PSA" standard MOB PF2 PS/SPU PS. Its manufacturing and contracting are accredited under ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management Systems.

A founder member of the Access Flooring Association, Kingspan leads the industry campaign for maintaining high performance standards.
