<< SHUECO INTERNATIONAL - Building Materials and Architectural Building Products >>

Schüco International

Schüco’s comprehensive series of aluminium, steel, PVC-U and renew-able energy systems allows the architect to build the widest possible range of designs. We give you system reliability from a single source, including thorough logistical and technical support services.

Schüco International has been the market leader for the last fifty years and intends to build on its success in innovative designs for doors, windows and façades, and to offer our partners the opportunity to meet the challenges of the future. By working together now with more than 12,000 partners in over 60 countries around the world, Schüco specialises in providing a quality service in conjunction with its quality products.

The Royal Series

New from Schüco is Royal C, a compact aluminium window system that offers a level of thermal performance never before achieved in a 60mm profile. It offers both inward- and outward-opening windows in a wide variety of top-, bottom and side hung opening styles. It is the first system in the country to offer concealed fittings on every open-in window type.

Concealed drainage is an innovative option without conspicuous drainage slots in the outer face of the frame: any moisture is allowed to drain away from holes in the underneath of the frame. The system offers a range of four glazing beads, including two mitred beads. For added aesthetic appeal, gaskets are available in grey as well as black. This system is fully compatible with Schüco’s RS65 range of doors.

Royal S is a range of commercial aluminium systems for windows and doors. It comes in five frame depths-45, 50, 65, 70 and 75mm – to meet all requirements from light commercial to demanding high specification projects. Royal S65AK offers an ideal solution for architecturally sensitive applications.

A complete range of window opening types including a Top Swing is available, while doors include tilt-turn, slide-tilt and rebated styles.

Curtain Walling

At Schüco we have a long tradition of innovation. This innovative approach allows free architectural expression without compromising on the integrity of the structure.

The nationwide team of Architectural Project Managers are able to offer bespoke solutions to architectural challenges and often become involved in the design process of a project in its early stages.

Curtain walling systems such as FW50+ and FW60+ are available, and to present an unbroken line of glass FW50+SG structural glazing systems offer a mirror smooth façade. Unitised solutions are also available.

VacuTherm Insulated Panel

For architects needing to meet ever-tougher targets for energy use in buildings, the VacuTherm insulated panel system represents an important advance. Available with an outer skin of coloured aluminium or glass, a super-slim 26mm VacuTherm panel can deliver the same ‘U’ value as a conventional mineral-wool wall panel of more than five times its thick-ness making significant savings on occupied building volume.

A VacuTherm panel can be from 20mm to 36mm thick with a maximum overall size of 2000mm x 3500 mm.

Special Profiles

The design of a façade is determined by the internal and external appearance of the transoms and mullions. The shape and colour of a profile can be used to make profiles appear wider or narrower, or more or less prominent than they actually are. Schüco are able to provide individual solutions, if this is required by the architect, based on existing tried and tested Schüco systems.

Synergy Façades

Called the Synergy Façade, Schüco pioneered this significant integration of photovoltaic solar panels into the façades of buildings. Synergy façades are both building envelopes and generators of electricity and in principle can be integrated into nearly all of Schüco’s façade systems.
