<< CATNIC LITETILE - Building Materials and Architectural Building Products >>

Catnic Litetile

Catnic has a reputation of providing superior quality products earned through technical innovation, development and investment. Catnic’s Litetile roofing system is no exception.

Catnic Litetile offers a fast, flexible and cost effective alternative to traditional tiles. The carefully designed steel system enables a variety of roofing projects to be tackled with ease. And if you think that steel tiles equate to a compromise of style and design, then think again.

Design

Litetile provides installation and maintenance benefits over traditional materials. Manufactured in sheet lengths of 1.67 metres, each covering between 0.56m² and 0.59m², one Litetile covers the same as nine traditional concrete tiles!

Litetile is dry fixed, eliminating the need for mortar and as the name suggests it is light, with each tile weighing only 6.6kg. This means that you can place the truss centres at greater distances than is required for traditional roofing materials, which translates into fast and simple installation, saving on labour costs AND time.

< Long lengths - 1.67 metres long each

< Lightweight – only 6.6kgm²

< Attractive colours and profiles

< Fastrack solution – dry fix system

< Versatile – can be laid to a pitch of 10º

< BBA approved and a 30 year guarantee

< Low cost of ownership – virtually maintenance free

Litetile is incredibly cost effective when examining both installation and whole-life costs. These are increasingly important factors when considering the total cost of ownership of a development project.

The Profiles

There are 4 different profiles and a range of colours with three coating finishes, giving complete design flexibility for both new-build and refurbishment projects.

< Tufftile bears a resemblance to traditional clay roofs

< Tuffslate emulates natural slate and has been approved by Local Authorities for use in environmentally sensitive building projects

< Elitetile provides a high degree of vandal resistance making it ideal for public buildings such as schools, libraries, community centres and prisons

< The Academytile has a scalloped shape, which is ideal for creating a Mediterranean feel to your project

Durable

Over time, roofs can be subject to unsightly moss and lichen growth, requiring regular maintenance. Not with Litetile. With a unique fungal inhibitor incorporated in the tile surface, Litetile prevents moss and lichen growth to prolong the life of your roof and keep it looking as good as new.

Litetile has a unique acrylic coating which is designed to withstand the severest of weather conditions. Small stone granules are bonded to the tile surface resulting in a finish unaffected by UV light, gale force winds, driving rain or extremes in temperature.

Traditional Details

As with traditional materials, Litetile can be used with lead flashing to accommodate details such as chimneys and dormer windows, and is suitable for all types of construction methods.

Litetile has a comprehensive range of compatible accessories to compliment your finished structure, including vents, battens, rafters, fascias and more.

Quality

Litetile is manufactured to the highest quality:

< Assured to BS EN ISO 9002

< Has BBA certification 89/2267

< Full 30 year guarantee, demonstrating its high quality and maintenance credentials

As with all Catnic products, it is fully supported by dedicated sales, technical and design teams.
